celiac disease

symptoms

children and infants:

abdominal bloating and pain
chronic diarrhea

pale, foul-smelling, or fatty stool

Celiac disease effects homeostasis because it starts to damage the small intestines' villi, which absorb nurtients. That means the body can't get a sufficient amount of nutrients, throwing the balance off.
