This disease disrupt normal body functioning by infecting your body's immune system which can make you become sick a lot easier. It can also make it harder for you to get better after you become sick.

SARS was a huge problem during 2002 and some people thought it could become an epedemic. By affecting the immune system, it will stop and or slow down the recovery process much like what happens with AIDS.

Shortness of breath and difficult breathing does make SARS every difficult to overcome. By not being able to breath normally the respiratory system will have to work harder and get tired easily.
